Chow Mein Hotdish

Ok, the picture may not do this dish justice but really it is very tasty!  This is a dish that our whole family will eat.  I will work on my photography skills. ;)

Chow Mein Hotdish
1 lb browned hamburger (or turkey burger)
1 onion
1 cup uncooked rice *
1 can cream of mushroom soup + 1 can of water to rise out the can
6 Tb soy sauce
2 cups water
1/2 tsp celery salt
Chow Mein Noodles - optional

Cook your hamburger with onion until browned.  Mix all ingredients together and place in a 2 1/2 quart (or bigger) baking dish.  Bake at 350 for 1 hour.  Add salt and pepper to taste at the table.
*If you use white rice it should be cooked after the hour.  If you are using brown rice adjust your oven to 375 and bake for 1-1 1/2 hours.

Let me know if you try the recipe and if it was a success with your family!
